Maria Svarbova’s ongoing Swimming Pool series

Maria Svarbova’s Swimming Pool series is an ongoing project. The selected pictures have been taken from a collection of latest releases. The whole series is characterized by a distinctive color scheme mixed with a striking contrast. All pictures of the series provide some kind of emptiness, silence and dreariness. The scenes in the pool hall show different people in different positions. They seem completely motionless just like display dummies in a store window.
